Euroclear Partners with Bray Leino Events to Elevate Flagship Virtual Event
Belgium-based Euroclear is a Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) provider that specialises in the settlement of securities transactions, as well as the safekeeping and asset servicing of these securities.
In 2020, Euroclear were preparing to host the Collateral Conference, an annual thought-leadership event that connects delegates and recognised industry experts to share knowledge and insight for the upcoming year. However, following the sudden restrictions imposed on travel by the COVID-19 pandemic, they were forced to reconsider their plans. In response to these restrictions many events were cancelled or postponed, but rather than losing this key industry event, the decision was made to hold the conference virtually.
What was originally supposed to be a physical event had to be completely reimagined into a fully digital experience, for over 1000 globally based delegates. They approached Bray Leino Events to support the development of this new and untested virtual solution, our virtual event expertise and collaborative approach to planning being key factors in this decision.
“We long had the ambition to ramp up our digital event programme,” said Mark McFadyen, Head of Marketing Strategy & Operations at Euroclear, “Covid provided the added impetus and Bray Leino Events the expertise, creativity and support to ensure the success of our first major virtual event.”
“We are ideally suited to helping clients reinvent live events as digital solutions, thanks to our team of highly experienced digital and events specialists” Cressida Prout, Account Director at Bray Leino Events said, “we were thrilled to partner with Euroclear and guide them through the planning, development and delivery of their first virtual event and design a solution that was best suited to achieve their objectives”.
The Bray Leino Events team worked collaboratively with the Euroclear team, always keeping their objectives at the forefront of the planning, to develop a bespoke virtual environment that maintained the engagement of a live event. We strived constantly to elevate the experience and created an immersive platform that encouraged interaction at every touchpoint of the delegate experience.
Our team carefully assessed the needs of Euroclear’s audience and worked with C-suite speakers around the world to curate an engaging and varied content schedule. All speaker filming was conducted over 3 weeks, using high-quality production equipment and branded intro/outro motion graphics to ensure every session had a polished, professional look.
“Bray Leino Events were quick to understand our objectives and the specific challenges we faced in offering a virtual alternative to our annual flagship (physical) conference,” said McFadyen, “their dedicated & friendly team partnered with our people to design, build and host an event that enabled us to engage with a larger, wider, global audience.”
Across 3-days the virtual platform hosted 29 speaker sessions, 38 speakers, live Q&A’s, networking opportunities and many small group breakout sessions, which were all well received by everyone involved. McFadyen commented:
“We received positive feedback from speakers, presenters and many of the 1,000 + delegates – making the decision to provide our clients with online access to the 2021 edition of this flagship event, easy.”
Our collaboration did not end with the successful delivery of the conference. The virtual nature of the event meant we were able to track delegate engagement throughout the 3-day conference and identify areas that could be elevated even further for future events. These elevated elements were then combined with a whole new innovative virtual environment that is set to WOW the delegates attending the 2021 Flagship Virtual Event, which we will be partnering with Euroclear on in November.
“Bray Leino Events once again came out on top in our RFP process for this year’s event, having impressed us with their innovative proposals to elevate the virtual experience and their ability to support our ideas for a hybrid event.” McFadyen Said. “We look forward to engaging further in conversation with Bray Leino Events as we build an events strategy that can deliver top-quality experiences for our clients through these uncertain times and beyond.”
