Best UK Space Conference yet!
3 Thrilling Days, 2,000+ Delegates, 1 British Astronaut
The UK Space Conference is the biennial event that brings Industry, Government and Academia together to exchange ideas and promote the UK’s civil space interests. The UK has a long and proud tradition as a space-faring nation; its space industry has almost doubled in value over the past decade, with UK Space Conference participation increasing fourfold over the same period. The growth opportunity in both is virtually limitless!
Bray Leino Events has delivered all aspects of the UK Space Sector’s flagship event since 2013. For the 2019 Conference, we saw more than 2,000 delegates attend with representatives from the entire UK space community as well as many international agencies. Our expert Event Directors, Content Strategists and Communications Specialists have been especially successful in driving new stakeholder interest and attracting commitment from cross-sector delegates, contributors and supporters.
Announcing a brand-new venue. As the first event at the new ICC Wales, our team supported the venue with 3D mapping, health & safety, and general security processes. With venue construction running behind schedule, we helped ensure the venue delivered an exceptional opening event.
£100,000s generated. Our experienced team continued to facilitate the growth of the UK Space Conference through expanded sponsorship opportunities, structured exhibition sales campaigns and thriving ticket sales that produce ever-increasing revenue to re-invest in the event.
An international focus. We raised the profile of the UK Space Conference internationally by connecting with the transnational space community and creating a compelling value proposition: 32 countries were represented at the 2019 event – a 56% increase on the 2017 event.
Networking reimagined. Our imagineers introduced an exciting range of activities to promote ideas exchange and connectivity: a new ‘Innovation Zone’ supported companies that were showcasing outstanding concepts and inventions that sat easily alongside the Mars Rover.
Meet your heroes! ‘Discover Space’, our educational outreach event, ran alongside the conference for the second year. Hundreds of under-privileged school children from local areas were inspired by the latest advances in space technology, objects from faraway worlds and the UK’s best-known astronaut, Tim Peake.
A milestone anniversary. The event fell during the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing; we celebrated with an incredible installation from Luke Jerram and his ‘Museum of the Moon’. This moon replica provided a real wow factor: it was the perfect backdrop for media interviews, photos and social media selfies!
Celebrating success. The inaugural UK Space Conference Awards were presented by Tim Peake at the 600 pax gala dinner. The awards highlighted the diverse, forward-thinking innovations and exciting achievements that have made the UK Space Conference the most influential Space event in the UK.
