Staged in Wales for the first time, we would significantly boost the capacity of the ICC Wales by attaching a temporary, high-security structure to the venue, freeing up the required space for regional businesses to showcase their cyber-security solutions to some of the world’s leading technology buyers.
In our six years of delivering CYBERUK, this would be the first time we would engage an international online audience alongside the live, in-person event, with selected sessions streamed live on the CYBERUKTV YouTube channel, alongside highlight roundups and behind the scenes expert interviews.
And with a gala ‘Leaders Dinner’ the night before, breakout streams and networking sessions throughout, we delivered relevant experiences across this wide audience.
To inspire the next generation of professionals, students from four Welsh schools were invited for a full CYBERUK experience, where they could test their cyber skills in an escape room type scenario and learn more about career opportunities in the industry.
Delegates were challenged to compete against each other in the Cyber Games, while an Innovation Zone showcased up-and-coming technology vendors, and the Spotlight Stage gave selected delegates five-minutes on the mic to present their thoughts and ideas.
The live streams were wildly successful, with over 16,000 tuning in live – including 3,000 for the opening plenary, 600 new YouTube subscribers and almost 30,000 views of on-demand content in the days following the event.
We delivered sponsorship and exhibition sales to ensure CYBERUK22 could be delivered at minimal cost to the taxpayer.
