In its centenary year, the Royal Air Force embarked on an ambitious national tour with an interactive exhibition of historic aircraft.
Across multiple UK locations, the RAF wanted to invite the public to get up close with iconic aircraft, both past and present, like a modern Typhoon fighter jet, a Sea King helicopter, a Sopwith Snipe, and a Spitfire.
Aircraft displays and pilot re-enactments brought the exhibition to life, while school age attendees could test their skills on a range of science-based activities, like flying a quadcopter – learning about the many opportunities available through STEM subjects.
We designed and managed the entire programme, end-to-end. Including the substantial logistical challenges involved in transporting the aircraft. This included site planning, vehicle movements, on-site health and safety and security. All of which ensured that the event could be enjoyed by as many people as possible.
