Case Study

Flying high at Farnborough Airshow!

As an official events partner to DIT, our Aerospace events team were proud to manage the DIT presence at Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) 2018.
FIA brings the industry together to showcase new aircraft and aerospace technology, learn about new industry developments and offers a place to do business with deals running into the billions.

We designed and managed the DIT space within the main exhibition hall, that highlighted the UK’s aerospace capability and provided the opportunity for UK companies and international buyers to connect and do business.

Skills from across the Bray Leino Group, from exhibitions through to creative content and design, were utilised to create a stand with maximum impact. This was achieved with a supersize digital wall for which we created bespoke content. Visually impactful, and with the ability for the content to frequently change, continually showcasing the UK’s aerospace capabilities.

In addition to this, we utilised sonic chair technology which gave visitors an aerospace-themed VR experience with full surround sound. This attracted attention from passers-by and was a great talking point during the daily networking receptions that we hosted on the stand.

The stand was continually busy throughout the show and this was reflected in the number of meetings taking place, and the number of leads collected, both of which were over target.

The team are now looking forward to working with DIT to build on this success with a similar stand at another event later this year.

“Thank you for such a brilliant week. We had hundreds of conversations with industry and stakeholders backed by a strong projection of UK aerospace for international buyers and investors. I thought the stand presented exactly the right image; it was good to see all our afternoon receptions busy and feedback from businesses I spoke to was unanimously positive about the DIT presence at Farnborough.”

Key facts

A short note to thank you once again for your superb event delivery and professionalism. I think the industry unanimously recognised our combined effort to ‘lift’ and promote UK Aerospace, be it with the stand design, the eye-catching video content, the new glossy Aero brochure, and the lovely reception drinks. All served with a smile. So, a heartfelt thank you on behalf of the Aero team. It was money well spent in terms of impact and business meetings. And we had some fun along the way.
